Copa del Ray Regatta holds its own share of competitive action. It is usually held during the first week of August with the competition running for the whole week and participated by sailors from different countries. This event is at par with boat races in other countries like England’s Fastnet Race and Big Boat Series of San Francisco.

Both regattas are considered as festivals in the island of Majorca. World class sailing in the scenic isle with warm sunny weather makes a great majorca holiday experience even for sailing novices.
