Yearly, the humpback whales from Alaska would travel to the warm waters of Hawaii to mate or to give birth. During the mating season, these humpback whales are more active and are prone to display surface activities such as tail slapping. If you wish to experience the whale watching adventure in Hawaii, here are the things that you should keep in mind:
- Visit during the peak season which is from November until May. This means that you would not have any difficulties spotting whales.
- Hawaii is composed of many islands, there are specific islands which are popular for whale watching adventures. You can go to Maui, the Big Island or Kauai to do enjoy whale watching.
- Observe the rules and regulations and respect the space of the whales. You should stay within 100 yards from the whale. However, in some instances when you are on a boat tour; whales can become curious and may come near the boat. This will give you a better view of the huge and adorable sea creatures.
